PRESTWICH Heys Reserves had to settle for a point after being held to a 1-1 draw at Stockport Georgians.

Both goals were scored late in the game, with Adam Edwards putting Heys Reserves in front in the 81st minute, only for the home side to equalise through a last-minute penalty.

The result left Heys’ second string in eighth place in the Manchester League Premier Division.

The first team endured a frustrating week after suffering two postponements. Their Macron Cup tie at Nelson was postponed for a second time, as was Saturday’s top-six clash at home to Sandbach. They remain third in the Hallmark Security League First Division, with New Mills due up next at home tomorrow.
