TWO more supermarket products are being recalled over fears they could contain dangerous salmonella.

Tesco and Asda are recalling more cereal and nut bars after Asda initially warned customers about one of their products earlier this week.

Both supermarkets fear the bars ‘might be contaminated’ with the dangerous bacteria.

Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

Neither supermarket has explained how the possible contamination happened.

What products are affected?

Asda peanut and almond cereal bars, with a date stamp of September 2019.

Tesco apricot almond and yogurt bars, with batch codes 9100 and 9101.

Earlier this week, Asda warned about a salmonella risk in its cranberry and nut cereal bars, with a date stamp of September 2019.

What should I do if I have these?

DO NOT eat them. Return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all stores that are selling these products.
