A MANAGEMENT and environmental consultancy has announced a raft of new senior appointments to coincide with its rebranding and new website launch.
Bury-based Deta Associates was established eight years ago by founder and managing director Dennis Taylor, who was Bury Council’s chief executive between 1997 and 2001.
Deta, located in Brandlesholme, worked with local authorities, government departments, the Audit Commission and a wide range of environmental organisations.
For the past seven years, the major project has been centred on economic regeneration and inward investment across Lancashire. Deta worked with the North West Development Agency and in the creation of the Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP). This work ended in March.
Joining Mr Taylor, who takes a new role as chairman and managing director, is Janet Barton, his former deputy at LEP. She will major on rural, creative industries and economic regeneration portfolios.
Two associate directors, Lesley Lloyd and Paul Mawdsley, make up the board. Lesley is currently chairman of the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board and sits on a range of business-related organisations across the North West.
After a lifetime in HR, Paul operates his own recruitment company from its Lancashire and London bases and is a Freeman of the City of London.
Also joining Deta as senior associates are Terry Cook and John Woodward. After senior roles in the RAF, Terry held key director roles in the Middle East and UK. John is a former UK sales manager for the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation.
