AN entrepreneur has shifted from gaming to gourmet treats during lockdown.

Emily Aronson, from Whitefield, had built up her own game hire outfit, which had been hit by the pandemic.

And so with the events industry in freefall, she turned her attentions to confectionery and launched Treats & Eats.

Her bespoke offerings range from cookie dough and fudge sweetmeats to cakesicles and chocolate-dipped strawberries.

She said: "I have been truly blown away by the response and support I’ve received.

"I’ve always baked and made sweet treats for friends and family as a hobby but had never contemplated turning it into a profession before."

She now has 800-plus Instagram followers.

Emily, a mother-of-two, added: "The impact of the pandemic has forced everyone to adapt and after receiving such amazing feedback from customers, I’m hugely excited to keep going and see how far the business can grow.”

Word soon got around on social media and she is now geared up for deliveries across Greater Manchester.

Certain items like cookie cups, cookie dough, fudge, truffles, cakesicles and dipped Oreos are also available for postal orders anywhere in the UK.

She also hopes to be ready to expand the business further as and when large-scale events such as weddings are given the green light to resume safely.

Her wares are on display at www.instagram.com/treatsandeatsuk and she also has a Facebook page.
