A RAMSBOTTOM pub has launched a new and improved menu along with an innovative takeaway option.
The Shoulder Of Mutton in Holcombe Village has been expanding its menu over recent weeks, bringing a range of new dishes and flavours to the table.
The traditional country pub has introduced seafood platters and king prawn and mussel stews, along with chicken wings, ribs and other dishes.
Popular pub food classics are still available.
The takeaway service, a rarity in pubs but something starting to gather popularity in light of the pandemic, means people can collect the dishes and eat it wherever they like.
Landlady Cat Bateman said: "Everything is home cooked and everything is fresh. We wanted to try new flavours and experiment with our dishes.
"We have introduced the takeaway service for people who might not want to come into the pub if they're still uneasy, or if they'd like to have the food during a walk up one of the hills in the area.
"It has been really good so far and we have had lots of positive feedback. We can only really go up from here."
Noel Thompson, who was previously at The Hamers Arms in Summerseat and head of The Jabberwock Bar and Kitchen, has taken over the reins as head chef and helped to introduce the brand new menu.
