THE winners of the first Prestwich summer scarecrow festival have been revealed.
Last month, residents were invited to get creative and spread some joy as part of the debut event organised Greater Manchester Police's Prestwich Neighbourhood Team.
Over the last few weeks families have been busy crafting 'ex-straw-dinary' creations to put on display.
After much deliberation officers have now announced their chosen top three.
These were scarecrows of Toy Story characters, Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and The Little Reader.
Members of the public are now being invited to vote for their favourite of three via the GMP Bury South Facebook page.
A scarecrow of Harry Potter, located in Spring Vale, was also chosen by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Tim Pickstone, as the special fourth place winner.
