Parking shouldn't be that hard, but clearly for some drivers in Bury it is a bit of a challenge.

Of course, if it's too tricky to park between the lines, you could always take up two spaces and give yourself a bit more room to get in and out of your car.

Likewise for those drivers who don't fancy parking on the road, there's the possibility of parking on the pavement. After all, pedestrians don't need that much space, do they?

One driver in Bury was in such a rush to get to the shops that they decided to park half in a bay and half on the curb.

Another road-user in Prestwich took it upon themselves to take up the whole width of the pavement and block a driveway.

Meanwhile in Radcliffe, two cars managed to take up four spaces between them after parking just a couple of inches over the lines.

Photos of poor parking across Bury and elsewhere have been gathered by the Facebook Page Parking like a P**** in the UK, founded by two people with links to the local area.

Originally set up in 2014 to document bad parking in the area, it's now received entries from across the world.

Occasionally there are heated reactions from the drivers who have been spotted, however, the page is mainly for lighthearted entertainment and drivers can also ask for their photos to be removed.

Prestwich and Whitefield Guide:

The founder of the page, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "At first it was just myself who found parking a bit annoying and started uploading pictures to the page.

"It spiralled over night and I found that other people shared my frustrations.

"Now it's all pictures sent in from all over the country.

"First it was in Bolton, but we get entries from everywhere, including America and Australia.

Prestwich and Whitefield Guide:

"I had a mixed response at first, there were people who thought the page was pathetic and even made threats.

"But I just carried on and it just got bigger and more popular.

"We have owners of vehicles contacting us all the time, they either ask to have a photo removed, which we will happily do, or they try to explain it themselves."
