AS the coronavirus crisis continues key workers in all sectors across Bury are working tirelessly to keep us all safe, healthy and well.

But with growing pressure many may struggle to find the time to take some well earned rest and "self-care".

However, generous staff at a Prestwich beauty company are helping frontline staff to do just that — by treating them to "pamper packages".

Doll Beauty have created and delivered more than 100 parcels to shop workers, care home workers and NHS staff in the borough and across the North West.

The handmade packages contain an assortment of the company's beauty products, including make-up, foot masks, face masks, and fake tan.

Samantha Allen and Danielle Gregory, founders of Doll Beauty, said that giving back to the community has always been a priority of their company.

They added: “We really wanted to show our appreciation to all frontline workers in the best way we knew how."

This week Ms Allen has dropped off the dozens of care packages at the Aldi superstore in Bury New Road, as well as at the Holt House Care Home in Headlands Drive — a cause close to her heart, as her grandmother is a resident at the home.

Meanwhile Ms Gregory delivered yet more pamper parcels to staff at the Countess of Chester hospital.

The pair added: "The hard work that caregivers and supermarket workers are doing to keep the rest of the country going is incredible.

"They are working incredibly long hours and we wanted to provide them with a little pick me up for when they get home.

"The difference a little self-care can make is priceless, and if we can put a smile on their faces then that’s all we can wish for at this time.”

Doll Beauty was founded by Ms Allen and Ms Gregory in 2016, quickly expanding from a small eyelash collection to beauty brand which is popular nation-wide.

The company now produces a range of products which are stocked at outlets including Boots, Topshop, Beauty Bay and Pretty Little Thing.

They also have beauty parlours in locations across the country, including Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and Chester.
