ONE of Bury's MPs has praised a charity which has stepped in to provide meals for medics serving on the frontline in the borough.
Supporters of Muslim for Britain (MfB) donated dozens of fresh-cooked feasts to staff at Fairfield General this week, as the country continued to be on lockdown due to the coronavirus.
And Bury North MP James was able to accompany MfB volunteers as they dispatched their welcome parcels.
He described MfB and all volunteer groups, providing similar aid, as “an amazing testament to the community spirit that makes Bury, Ramsbottom, and Tottington very special places to live, work, and visit”.
Mr Daly added: "Coronavirus crisis had shown the resilience of NHS staff in caring for patients in extremely difficult circumstances”.
He also emphasising that he “was enormously proud of the NHS, its staff and volunteers. I admire their dedication".
