A CAR ploughed into a street sign before becoming stuck in some bushes after a police chase.
Officers on patrol in Peel Way spotted a black Ford Fiesta in the early hours of this morning.
After seeing the police car the driver of the Ford immediately sped off in the direction of Walshaw Road.
They eventually dived into the surrounding housing estates, driving along the dirt tracks, before making it to Moreton Drive.
But as they ran out of road, the driver of the Ford crashed into hedges on the driveway of a house at the junction with Portinscale Close.
Photos captured by Greater Manchester Police Traffic officers show the Fiesta stranded as it rests on top of the plants and a battered street sign at the entrance to the close.
The car also sustained significant damage to its front end — with is whole front bumper hanging off and front suspension exposed.
Following the incident the car has been seized and enquiries are ongoing, police confirmed.
