PERFORMING arts students at Bury College received some backstage industry tips when an international choreographer came to visit.
The class benefited from a masterclass led by world renowned dancer choreographer Mark Webb, who has shared a stage with the likes of Destiny’s Child, Take That, Cher, Steps, Elton John and Girls Aloud. He has also appeared at The Brits and in many a pop video.
The workshop included a 40-minute warm-up followed by an opportunity to learn a commercial choreography routine.
Mark said: “I delivered this workshop to show the students what it takes to be a professional dancer. To be successful in this industry it takes a strong work ethic, hard work and passion. I have really enjoyed passing my expertise onto the students.”
Bury College Level 3 Performing Arts student Jordan Loonam described the session as brilliant.
The former Cardinal Langley Roman Catholic High School pupil said: "I found the class so motivational and Mark brought a great energy to the group. I am really enjoying being part of the School of Performance and my tutors really inspire me.”
