PRESTWICH Arts Festival is set to return for another exciting year of celebrating diverse creativity.

The festival will take place at venues across the town on September 28 and 29 with an exciting and varied programme of art events and activities.

Highlights of the event are sure to include special launch night screening of comedy film ‘Eaten By Lions’, with Q&A from the writer, director and producer; a Best in Crime literary slam at the Woodthorpe Hotel and and Art in the Park day at St Mary’s Park

The popular Home is Where the Art is trail is also coming back for a second year filling Prestwich with art, and there will be a children’s literature competition judged by Prestwich poet Tony Walsh.

Festival chairman, Jane Thompson, said: “We’re thrilled that after the success of our first festival, we’re bringing another incredible line up of local talent and arts opportunities to Prestwich.

“We’re passionate in putting on activities that are for everyone in our community and bringing together people through the arts. “We’re proud to show off Prestwich as passionate, feisty, creative and engaged.”
