Specsavers in Kendal is searching for a desperate dad sporting the town’s worst glasses to win a specsy new makeover for Father’s Day.

The Strickland Gate store wants to find a dad stuck in a style rut looking more Jack Duckworth than Johnny Depp and help him out by giving him a brand new pair of designer glasses worth £125.

And, if your dad wins, you will also receive a new pair of specs from Specsavers’ designer range which includes stylish frames from the likes of Missoni, Red or Dead, Jasper Conran and Tommy Hilfiger.

Specsavers Kendal store director, Tony Flynn, explains: ‘We get customers coming into the store all of the time telling us how much they struggle to bring certain relatives up to date with the latest specs fashions – and dads seem to be among the worst offenders.

‘It’s tempting to stick with a look that has felt comfortable for years, but it’s now easier than ever to update your whole look with some stylish new frames.

‘We thought that it would be a bit of fun to run a search for the dad with Kendal’s worst specs and bring him up to date by giving him, and the son or daughter who nominates him, a brand new pair of designer glasses.’
