Recent snow in Horwich
More snow is predicted to be on its way to Bolton.
The Met Office has issued a snow and ice warning from 4pm today to 10:30am tomorrow as Storm Christoph gives way to cold weather.
Snow is forecast in Bolton tonight through Saturday morning as temperatures dip to as low as 0 degrees this weekend.
The Met Office warn that the snow and ice may cause travel disruption tonight and early Saturday.
The Met Office website says: "Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, increasing the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
"Some roads and railways likely to be affected by snowfall, with longer journey times by car as well as bus and train services."
