We asked each of Bolton's three MPs what their hopes are for Bolton going into 2021.
This is what Chris Green, Conservative MP for Bolton West and Atherton had to say:
"After a difficult year for so many, 2021 has lots for us to look forward to.
"Local businesses to boom: After a difficult year for the shops, pubs, hairdressers, beauticians and cafes that make our communities such vibrant places, my hope is that 2021 will be a boom year for them all.
"Once restrictions lift, I hope that residents get out and support these small businesses so we can continue to enjoy them for years to come.
"Our town centre transformed: In 2021, I want to see the fantastic plans Bolton Council have put together for Bolton town centre to flourish.
"This will be a gamechanger for the town.
"I’m also looking forward to seeing what the Town Boards come up with as part of the £4m investment in both Westhoughton and Horwich’s town centres.
"Medical research: Having been an engineer in the pharma industry, I’ve done a great deal of work championing medical innovation in the UK.
"With the experiences we have had through the Covid crisis, there should be many lessons learnt with how we can improve all of our health and wellbeing."
