Blackburn and Darwen Police have warned residents to keep observing coronavirus restrictions.
Following several reports of people from different households mixing together, officers have urged people to keep updated on the latest guidelines.
Officers also busted the myth that they 'enjoy' issuing fines to those disobeying the restrictions, instead they issued a message of working together to ensure everyone is safe.
In a statement Blackburn and Darwen Police said: "Blackburn Neighbourhood officers have attended several reports of gatherings this weekend involving people mixing from different households.
"It is everyone's responsibility to be aware of the latest guidance and stick to them in the interest of public safety.
"Several fines were issued to occupants and guests, contrary to popular belief we do not achieve satisfaction by doing this.
"However we have a duty to keep everyone safe. Please help us to help you, we are in this together and we will come out of this together.
"The latest guidelines and restrictions are on the Blackburn with Darwen website, please study them regularly.
"Stay safe folks."
