BOLTON'S response to the coronavirus pandemic will be scrutinised tonight.

Representatives from the hospital, care homes and officers from the local authority are expected to attend the meeting of the health overview and adult services scrutiny committee.

Chairman of the meeting, Cllr Martin Donaghy said: "We want to look at where we have done well, where we may not have as done as well , what we have learned and what we do in the future."

The meeting comes just days after the Government suddenly announced some lockdown measures would be reinstated for the whole of Greater Manchester, and other parts of the north.

This includes different households no longer being able to meet indoors or in a private garden.

The meeting, which will take place online, and include presentations from representatives from the hospital, care sector as well as the local authority.

Councillors will have a chance to ask questions following the presentation to gauge Bolton's response.
