ANOTHER person has died with coronavirus at the Royal Bolton Hospital, taking the total to 201.
NHS England confirmed the latest figures today.
However, the total may increase further as positive results for the virus are sometimes only recorded some time after a patient's death.
The number of deaths also does not include people who have died elsewhere.
In Bolton care homes alone at least 74 people have died with the virus and there have been further deaths in the hospice and the community.
In North West hospitals a total of 3,826 people have passed away with Covid-19 while throughout English hospitals the figure is
24,913.
As of yesterday afternoon, nationally, 246,406 people have tested positive for coronavirus with 31,010 deaths associated with the virus.
In Bolton 954 people have tested positive for Covid-19, a rate of 334.3 per 100,000 and considerably higher than the national rate for England of 257.5 per 100,000.
The figures show that April 8 remains the single worst day for deaths, with 889 patients dying with coronavirus in hospitals across England.
