Knives were found on a man in Chorley on Weds night
A knife measuring longer than a 30cm ruler was found on a man in broad daylight.
Officers in Chorley town centre carried out a pro-active stop and search of a man on Wednesday afternoon.
During the search a large knife was found and the man was arrested.
A spokesperson for the police said: "During the search this Knife was recovered and the male was swiftly arrested as a result.
"Positive use of stop and search powers have taken a dangerous weapon off the streets of Chorley."
