THIS week’s delve into the picture archives at The Bolton News has unearthed this photograph of Atherton Collieries from September 1988.
The information accompanying the picture says the team lined up before beating local rivals Daisy Hill 2-0 in their Bass North West Counties League clash at Alder House.

THE second picture is another from the archives and shows Bolton Lads Club's Under-10s from 1989.
The picture was taken after solicitors Colin Raynor and Co became the team's sponsors, providing them with a full kit for their first season in the Bolton Boys Fed.
Joining the team in the photograph are partners from the legal firm, Stephen Calderbank, left, and Colin Raynor.
