HEADBANGERS from the North West and beyond descended on Manchester for three ripping days of the darkest and heaviest underground extreme metal.
Star & Garter pub played host to legions of shredders and fans on September 27 to 29 for the second Manchester Death Feast festival, featuring more than 15 bands from the UK and Europe.
Over the weekend the city was obliterated by pulverising performances from three mighty headliners from the continent: Norwegian viking black metallers Uburen, French old school death metal legends Mercyless and Slovakian death doom outfit Doomas.
There was also plenty of talent on show from the region including Manchester black metal dyad Deus Mori and Argesk, North West quartet Bloodyard and Wigan’s Austerymn.
