THIS week’s delve into the picture archives at The Bolton News has unearthed this photograph of Kearsley Power Station FC from February 1980.
The only information accompanying the picture says that the team played in Division Two of the Bolton Sunday League at the time.

THE second picture is of the British Aerospace cricket team from 1982 and featured in the sporting nostalgia section on August 9.
Captain of that side, David Barton, spotted the picture in The Bolton News and got in touch.
He said: "I was the captain at that time.
"The names are, back, from left, Les Barlow, Ian Bentham, Mike Watkinson (pro), unknown, Norman Taylor; front, Phil Knowles, Malcolm Richmond, me (captain), John Norburn, Russell Beswick and Freddie Guest.
"At that time, 19-year-old Mike Watkinson occasionally was loaned to Lancashire CC and in return we got a deputy pro such as Jack Simmons and Bernard Reidy."
