AN adult training centre in the city centre has been told it needs to improve by Ofsted.
Potential 4 Skills, based in Manningham Lane, was told it has made “insufficient progress” in some areas by inspectors.
In the report, it said: “Most learners do not benefit from programmes or support to develop their English skills or to gain a qualification, despite needing to improve their skills in order to enhance their career opportunities.
“Tutors do not plan learning that effectively addresses gaps in skills and knowledge or takes account of what learners can already do.”
Ofsted did find that tutors are adequately experienced and qualified, the centre has a strong ICT programme and its safeguarding programmes are effective.
