A SECOND man has been charged in connection with a robbery at a convenience store in Peterlee.
The incident occurred at a the Simply Food and Drink store, in York Road, shortly after 8pm on Sunday, June 9.
Anthony Wood, 48, of Trimdon Station, has been charged with robbery, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, burglary and dangerous driving and has been remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Durham Crown Court for trial on Wednesday, July 10.
Marc Wood, of Jude Place, Peterlee, appeared before magistrates at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court at an earlier hearing.
The 34-year-old was charged with robbery, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and theft from a shop.
He was also remanded to appear at Durham Crown Court on July 10.
