A LARGE quantity of jewellery has been stolen from a property in Astley Bridge.
A burglar targeted a home in Ashworth Lane between 7pm and 11pm last night.
The offender climbed onto a wall before proceeding to make his way up a drainpipe to gain access to the house.
He then made his way into the property via an upstairs bathroom window.
Greater Manchester Police's Bolton Central team tweeted about the incident: "A house burglary was reported between 7pm and 11pm in Ashworth Lane, #AstleyBridge. Offender climbs onto a wall, up a drainpipe and climbs in through the upstairs bathroom window. A large amount of gold jewellery was stolen. @GMPBoltonNorth."
Another house burglary was also reported to police overnight in Elterwater Road, Farnworth.
Police urged residents to remain vigilant and to contact them on seeing anything suspicious.
