AN industrial site in Pilsworth which has been the subject of controversy in the area will be visited by councillors before they decide whether its lighting can be kept in place.
Gigg Lane Estate residents complained about light pollution from Commercial Development Projects and Cranswick Country Foods' units.
Measures have been taken to address the concerns and reduce light pollution and spillage.
This includes fixing a shield or screen to some lighting columns to control the direction and angle of the light.
Waterfarm Fishery's owner David Gibbon also raised issues with lighting at a planning committee meeting on Tuesday.
After the site visit, councillors will decide whether to allow the lighting scheme, which was previously approved on a six-month basis, to become a permanent fixture.
