POLICE have lambasted a motorist in Prestwich over some questionable double parking.
GMP Prestwich shared a photo showing a black Mercedes parked in Gardener Road opposite three other parked vehicles, and some distance from the curb.
Officers reported that the Mercedes was also parked in a "wonky" position, with its rear end sticking out — making is difficult for other vehicles to pass.
They called for drivers to be considerate when they park.
The post read: "What do we think? Owner of the black Mercedes was parked wonky with its back end sticking out. Please be considerate when parking!"
According to the Highway Code if drivers have to park at the roadside they should not park facing against the traffic flow, and should stop as close as possible to the side.
They should also not park anywhere where they would prevent access for the emergency services, or opposite or within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space.
