A GIANT inflatable obstacle course will return to Prestwich.

Thrill-seekers will be able to duck, jump and climb their way over inflatables up to 50m long and eight metres high.

The 5k Gung-Ho! obstacle race will return to Heaton Park in less than two months.

Participants of all ages and abilities will physical strength to the test as they take on huge slides, crawl through tunnels and scale massive walls.

Since the first Gung-Ho! event took place in 2015, more than 200,000 runners have completed the course, including blind runners, wheelchair users, children and pensioners.

The only criteria to run the course is to be a minimum height of 122cm, or 4ft.

Many runners can also sign up in support of the event's charity partner BBC Children in Need, or raise sponsorship for a cause of their choice.

Last year, Tilley Lockey took part in a Gung Ho challenge to raise money for Meningitis Now.

The 13-year-old contracted meningitis as a baby and was fitted with bionic arms after having both her hands amputated.

Tilley said: "I’m grateful that I survived meningitis, and I’m happy to do a fun challenge like this and help make a difference to others.

"The rain and mud made it even more of a challenge, but I was so proud of myself at the end."

Gung-Ho! Manchester takes place at Heaton Park on April 6.

Tickets are currently on offer for £32 up until midnight on Monday, March 4, from begung-ho.co.uk. The price includes a bib with race number, plus a Gung-Ho! T-shirt and headband.
