Police are no longer treating the girl's death as suspicious
THE death of a 16-year-old girl found hanged in a derelict building on Kersal is no longer being treated as suspicious say police.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and was bailed, though he has now been released and police officers say no further action will be taken.
At around 9.25am on Monday 28 January 2019 police were called to reports that a 16-year-old girl was missing from her home in Prestwich, Bury.
Shortly before 9.45am police received a second call saying that the girl had sadly been found dead in a derelict building near to Brookside Drive in Kersal.
Police officers will pass a file to the coroner.
