Major road closed as police deal with serious crash
A MAJOR street has been closed off as police officers and paramedics deal with aftermath of a serious crash.
The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Ringley Road (A667), close to Stand Golf Course, between Whitefield and Stoneclough.
Witnesses at the scene say they have seen a large number of police cars and that the road is currently closed off, with cars being directed towards diversions.
The incident has caused a build-up of traffic both ways, with cars queuing towards the scene.
