SCENE: Rainsough Brow, in Prestwich
A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling from his bike in Prestwich.
The incident happened shortly after 7am at the foot of Rainsough Brow, close to the mini roundabout linking the road to Kersal Vale Road and Agecroft Road.
The motorcyclist was taken to Salford Royal Hospital in an ambulance.
It is not yet clear whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Several major roads in Prestwich were closed following the incident, including Kersal Road, and Hilton Lane between Rainsough Brow and Bury New Road.
Agecroft Road, in Salford, was also shut by police.
The closures caused long delays in the area, but have since been removed.
