Summerseat Players 50th anniversary
THE Summerseat Players’ latest play opens next week.
‘Girls Like That’ will debut at the Theatre Royal, in Smithy Street, on Tuesday.
Written by Evan Placey and directed by Rebecca Carney, the play focuses on the modern pressures of social media and cyber bullying. It follows a schoolgirl whose reputation becomes toxic when a naked photograph of her leaks online.
An all female cast will perform the play from Tuesday until next Saturday. Performances begin at 7.45pm.
