NOT wanting to rest on their laurels after raising more than £2,000 for charity, the Prestwich Conservative Club is embarking on its next musical evening.
The club raised £2,650 for bowel cancer research last year with a cover night sponsored by Barclays.
Now the Conservative Club members are busy rehearsing for their next cover night, titled Raising the Roof for Charity.
This time the performers will be fundraising for the Manchester-based homeless charity Barnabus.
The event takes place at the club on May 18 at 8pm and tickets can be purchased through Arlene Colbourne at Prestwich Conservative Club in Church Lane for £4.
