I was extremely disappointed with Richard Baum’s letter of January 7.

As a Conservative councillor I thought I knew Richard rather well. What I had not realised was how ambitious he was.

In his letter he states that “every one of the Conservative councillors in Bury voted against”.

I did not vote at all on this motion, for one very good reason, as Richard well knows I was not there. I was at home recovering from an operation. On doctor’s orders I was not allowed to attend that council meeting.

Now Richard has seen global snowing, not global warming.
