We are paying the price of poor service

The obvious poor management of Bury’s Winter Management policy by the Conservative controlled Bury Council is a serious concern for a lot of people across the borough.

On one Whitefield road, a gas engineer who had been called to a boiler repair, needed the determined assistance of several residents to get his van back onto the main road.

In addition to this situation the council’s help and advice telephone service was unable to cope with calls from the borough’s residents and for over half an hour there was no answer except for a recorded message. The cost of this has gone onto my phone bill, and no doubt many other people are paying the cost of this inefficiency and poor service.

If this is the quality of management offered to us by the Conservatives then change needs to happen, and quickly.
