MY aunt, who lives in Prestwich has recently sent me an article published in the Prestwich and Whitefield Guide July 14.
It was all about Britannia Mill by local historian Ian Platt.
I am presently researching my family history and am related to the Barratt family, my grandfather married into the family.
My grandfather worked in the factory as did my nana and great aunt. I was wondering if Ian Pratt would be able to help me, as I would love to learn some more about the Barratts.
It was a lovely article and my aunt was telling me how she used to meet her dad there after her piano lesson, aged 10, and then walk home together.
