Jury shown shocking details of Fusilier Lee Rigby's death
Without doubt the death penalty should be brought back for these 2....make it a very slow and excruciatingly painful one too.
Why should i and every other tax payer have to pay for these individuals to live (probably a cushy life) at our expense?

Firefighters attacked while tackling blaze
If this occurs again why don't the firemen just turn their hoses on the yobs and soak them to the skin . I can't think of anything worse than being outside in soaking wet clothing on a freezing night. It may make them think twice about doing it again.

Traffic warden caught parking illegally
prestwich resident wrote:
I absolutely do not know the warden, and I haven't gone searching on facebook, this lady put the story on facebook and a lot of people shared it including some of my friends. My point is this lady has made herself look childish with the comments about the warden. I believe everyone has a right to defend themselves and this warden hasn't been given the opportunity. There mustn't be any news to report at the moment so they've published this!

Is this really front page news???? Now don't get me wrong traffic wardens annoy me but in this story has the warden been able to defend herself? Only the warden and Ms mctighe know what words were spoken. I think it is disgusting but what has also irritated me is what ms mctighe has written on her facebook page such as 'she was as fat as her arrogance' and 'the spare tyre round the traffic wardens midriff n the other spare one under her chin lol' not good when all your comments are there for everyone to see. And what a coincidence that ms mctighe and the owner of the range rover are apparently good friends. You've made it to the front page WOW give yourselves a clap and get a life, oh and change your privacy settings. Am off now to read some proper news.

Plain clothes blitz on school parking
School parking has for many years been a problem and speaks volumes of the idle society we now live in. Many others like myself would have got the bus or walked to school in our day but it now seems this is a thing of the past. The way forward is to make streets around schools resident parking only and this would force people to either walk or get the bus. I know people will say that they sometimes have quite a distance to travel but we then need to get back to sending children to the schools nearest to where they live and not let parents pick and chose.

Bury FC signs largest commercial deal in its history - and renames Gigg Lane the JD Stadium
Cllr Walker & Dave Giffard need to sound a bit more positive regarding this deal, there's obviously nothing in it for JD they don't need to advertise at Bury. JD need to be applauded for staying in Bury and now putting money into Bury FC

Punters baffled as new toilets installed at Castle Leisure Centre before it is demolished
So...toilets are refurbished after people comment on improving them; and when it happens, people 'hit out' on why this has happened, when the building is going to be demolished soon anyway?
Reminds me of two old sayings: i) You can please some of the people some of the time...; and ii) Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I bet some people working for Bury Council have long-since stopped thinking deeply about things...if they did, they'd probably go mad!
