BURY Amateurs continued their fine start to the season coming twice from behind, scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes to gain three hard won points.
Territorial dominance in the first half was marred by poor decision making in the final third.
Beechfield took the lead on the half hour, but Bury equalised following a great run down the left by Pietro Carinci. His measured cross found Tony Subachus who nodded home from close range.
However, a lapse in concentration at the back saw Beechfield take the lead again just before half time.
Bury came out determined to regain the advantage and they virtually camped in the Beechfield half, before Peter Hickford drilled home the equaliser through a ruck of players to set up a tense final 10 minutes.
Bury continued to press in search of a winner but disaster nearly struck when Naz Haydr’s short back pass was intercepted, Beechfield seemed about to score when Andy Kennedy raced back to time his tackle to perfection.
The incident proved even more pivotal when, with minutes to go, during one of many scrambles in the Beechfield area Tino Blake’s clever backward header steered inside the post to wrap up all three points for the Ammies.
