RAMSBOTTOM UNITED’s preparations for the new season continued at Cheadle Town’s Park Road ground on Saturday, when a Rams side containing many trialists beat the hosts in a low-tempo game.
The only goal of the match came on 64 minutes when Scott Burton converted a right-wing cross from Lee Gaskell.
The build-up to the new season in Evo-Stik Premier continues this coming weekend with a double-header.
The Rams join host club Nelson, Padiham and Darwen in a four-way tournament at Victoria Park.
Ramsbottom kick off against Darwen at 1pm on Saturday. Admission prices are £5 per day or £8 for the two days.
