PRESTWICH Heys have wrapped up two signings ahead of the opening game of their pre-season programme at AVRO this Saturday.

Max White, who played an integral part in Heys' 2016-17 treble-winning season, returns after spending the majority of last campaign at Monton, while Danny Vincent has joined from Hallmark Security League First Division rivals Silsden.

Both players can slot into a number of different roles in the team.

White provides cover across all midfield positions as well as at full-back, while Vincent, aged 21, has featured in central-midfield and full-back.

Heys have also kept on 12 players from their recent open trials and they are expected to be given another chance to impress during the club's seven pre-season matches.

Their first outing will kick off at noon at AVRO's new ground, the Vestacare Stadium in Whitebank Road, Oldham.

The Manchester League side are managed by Lee O'Brien and James Hampson, who both figured for Heys last season.

Jake Wood will captain Heys after being named as the club's new skipper following the retirement of Brad Lyons, while Danny White steps up as vice-captain.

Wood joined Heys during the 2015-16 campaign and the centre-half was leading appearance maker last season, playing 46 games, scoring five goals.

Danny White scored 10 goals in 30 appearances from central midfield last season.
