Matt Davies fired a hat trick as Heys swept to a 4-2 victory at Cheadle Town tonight.

Building on their FA Cup success at Penistone Church on Saturday, Heys bounced back to winning ways in the League with a thrilling display of attacking football.

The early signs weren’t good as the hosts were awarded a second minute penalty but Jordan Hadlow saved the spot kick.

Three minutes later Heys took the lead with a superb strike by Davies who then added a second in the 25th minute as Heys took control.

However, on the stroke of half time the hosts pulled one back through Kyle McGonigle.

Home hopes of a comeback were dispelled early in the second half when Jack Coop went clear to score before Davies completed his treble in the 70th minute.

Jordan Lazenbury pulled one back in the closing minutes but this was Heys and Davies’ night.
