PRESTWICH’S match at home to Stand was washed out on Saturday.

The local derby was the first-team’s fourth Saturday match at The Heys lost to the weather this season.

But the disappearance of the rain clouds on Sunday brought a ray of sunshine for the club’s second and third teams, who both won their respective cup semi-finals.

The 2nd XI will now meet Flowery Field next month in the Hulme Trophy final, and will play the same side at home in the league on Saturday.

The 3rd XI will face Clifton in the Hodson Cup final.
