SEDGLEY Tigers begin their bid to battle their way out of relegation trouble on Saturday.
After a three-week break due to the postponement of their last match at Macclesfield and the festive period, the Whitefield men return with a key clash against one of the sides they are looking to chase down.
Tigers go into the game against Tynedale (2.30pm kick off) third bottom in National League One, and with three going down, they need to produce a dramatic turnaround in results in the second half of the season to survive.
The atmosphere at Park Lane changed for the better in their last game when they ended a run of eight straight defeats with a nail-biting 19-17 defeat of Coventry.
They are one place and 12 points behind Tynedale who Tigers have targeted as one of the teams they must have in their sights.
“What we have got to do is fight our way back into the mix, starting Saturday,” said first-team manager Geoff Roberts.
And they will be boosted by the return of hooker Richard Oxley, whose 10-week injury absence has coincided with their bad run.
