A man from Whitefield has been charged in connection with an alleged stabbing outside a doctors surgery.
Dean Heywood, aged 37, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Police were called to Elms Medical Centre, in Green Lane Whitefield, at around 1.15pm on Thursday, April 27.
A GP at the medical centre sustained serious injuries to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment.
