A FUNDRAISER in memory of tragic mum Leanne Wall is taking place to pay for a special trip for her daughter and parents.

Ms Wall's parents Brian and Karen have been taking care of her 18-month-old daughter Elise since she was found dead at her home in Conway Avenue, Whitefield on February 12.

William Mack, aged 39, of no fixed abode, was arrested a short time later and was charged with her murder.

The money raised will pay towards holiday vouchers for the shattered family, which will be presented to them at the event at Fairways Lodge and Leisure Club, Prestwich, on April 23.

Organiser Jo Grogues, who created the Go Fund Me site, posted: "On the 12 February 2016 Leanne Wall was taken from this world and gained her wings. It has caused absolute devastation.

"Leanne was 36 years old and a mummy to her beautiful baby girl Elise. Although no amount of money can ever compensate little Elise growing up without her mummy, any donations would be very much appreciated.

"Leanne will be sadly missed by each and every one of us."

In just two weeks since the Go Fund Me page was created, more than half of the £1,000 target has been reached, and organisers are now asking local businesses to donate items for the raffle and auction.

An updated post by Ms Grogues reads: "Leanne left this world in the most horrific circumstances. Leanne loved being a mummy which was evident with the many pictures she took of her baby, Elise.

"She won't have any memory of her mummy and no amount of money will buy those precious memories.

"I am asking you to make a donation no matter how small. It will go into a trust fund for Elise and it will not only give Elise a helping hand when she's older but also give her an understanding of how much her mummy was loved."

Mack has been remanded in custody until a plea hearing on May 3.
