A WHITEFIELD woman has died after being hit by a car.
Surinder Kaur Singh, aged 69, was walking along Cheethall Hill Road in Cheetham Hill when she was hit by a Renaul Laguna, which was reversing from the footpath onto the road at 2.30pm on Wednesday, October 31.
She was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
PC Paul Hailwood, of Greater Manchester Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Surinder's family, who have understandably been left devastated following the death of their relative.
"We have officers supporting them as best we can at this difficult time and are carrying out a thorough investigation to establish the full facts around what happened.
