Pensioner knocked off bike in collision with car
A PENSIONER was knocked off his bike following a collision involving a car.
Police were called to Heywood Road at the junction of Polefield Road, just after 10am to reports of an accident between a cyclist and car.
Officers arrived at the scene where a white Kia Picanto and a 75-year-old cyclist were involved in a collision.
A GMP spokesman said: “We received a call at 10.15am to reports of a car colliding with a man on a bike.
“No arrests were made and police are investigating.”
The man was taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries.
