MOTORISTS have been left facing severe delays this afternoon after two crashes on the M60.
The motorway was closed near Heaton Park after a trailer overturned and shed its load.
All lanes were shut clockwise between junctions 18 and 19 of the M60, after the trailer overturned at around 1pm.
There are not thought to any serious injuries as a result of the crash.
M60 J18/19, all lanes closed, traffic is coming off at J19 and can renter, this is due to a overturned trailer which has shed load.

There is currently congestion all the way back to junction 12 of the M60 (Eccles) and diversions are in operation.

Later, a broken down lorry shut two lanes clockwise between junctions 17 and 18. All lanes had re-opened by 3.45pm.
Highways England warned that the delays will take time to clear.
