JOBSEEKERS are invited to drop in to a recruitment fair in Bury this month.

Bury Aces, Bury Council’s internal recruitment agency, is hosting a recruitment day on Wednesday, January 20.

The event is at the Castle Leisure Centre, Bury town centre, and jobseekers can drop in any time between 10am and 3pm to find out more about the range of jobs available.

Louise Bone, Bury Aces co-ordinator, said: “New Year is always a time when people take stock and consider changing jobs. If you’re looking for a new job, we might just have one that fits the bill.

“We have a number of vacancies available in a range of sectors including admin, care workers, social workers, occupational therapists, leisure assistants and cleaning to name a few.

“Bury Aces provide casual staff for short-term cover including sickness absence, holidays and vacancies, so if you’re available for work at short notice, we’d love to speak to you.”

Representatives from Job Centre Plus and a range of council services will be there to discuss the jobs available.

Cllr Sandra Walmsley, cabinet member for resource and regulation, said: “Bury Aces supply a wide range of staff who provide vital support for many council services.

“Many of the roles ensure that our customers receive consistent and high quality care.

“I would encourage anyone with an interest in working for the council to come along to the event and find out more about the jobs we have available.”
