Bury actress Jennie McAlpine will brig some "Fiz" to a fundraising Zumbathon dance extravaganza for Breakthrough for Breast Cancer.

The Party in Pink event, to be held on Tuesday October 6, is being organised by Whitefield instructor Mandy Labrianidis who runs her own Zumba classes in the Prestwich and Bury areas. This is her fifth annual Zumbathon for the breast cancer charity.

Jennie, who plays Fiz Brown in Coronation Street, will join her at the event to be held at the Royal British Legion in Bury Old Road, Heaton Park, between 7pm and 9pm.

Mandy said: "I am being helped by the I Will If You Will project, of which Jennie is a patron. I am excited to be joined by Jennie for the event. We will be able to express a shared love of dance for a great cause and I hope as many people as possible join us."

Tickets cost £10, including refreshments, and there will also be a raffle.

Tickets can also be purchased at Mandy's Manchester Road class in Bury held at 10am each Tuesday and from her class at Prestwich Community Centre on Wednesdays from 7pm.

Mandy can also be contacted on 07931 600256 or tickets bought on Facebook with: Zumba Life With Mandy Labrinaidis.
